Since 1974, the Swiss Group of Criminology (SGC) organizes an annual conference and edits publications on criminology, namely the annual conference proceedings and a scientific journal. It aims at promoting the dialogue between researchers, experts, and professionals on contemporary issues in the field of criminology. Considering that science, research, and practice interact, the concept of criminology is here understood in its broadest sense.

These English-based webpages are reduced to an overview of the most recent congresses and proceedings, as well as to the journal of the SGC. A special page is dedicated to the planned activities to celebrate the 50^th anniversary of the SGC, especially the project of an overview of criminology in Switzerland, understood as a scientific discipline, a research field and academic teaching.
